By the time she was 5 or 6, she knew she had been assigned the wrong gender at birth. One day when she was 10, she put on her mother\u2019s clothes, did her nails and makeup, and announced that she was a girl. For most of the rest of her life, others tried to deny her truth. Then, at age she transitioned. In this episode of the <em>Awaken Your Wise Woman<\/em> podcast, host Elizabeth Cush, LCPC, a licensed professional therapist, founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.progressioncounseling.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Progression Counseling<\/a> in Annapolis, Md., and a mid-life women\u2019s life coach, welcomes Wendy, a transition mentor, for an open and honest conversation about gender identity and expression, self-discovery and acceptance, the importance of empathy and the need for safe spaces.
