Change is good! You embrace change. Right? There’s part of your mind that knows change is the only thing that leads to growth. Personal growth is phenomenal through change. I actually have gotten to the point where I look for it. I embrace change now.

I look for doing new things, new experiences and through these I gain more insights into myself, my own thoughts, my own beliefs and the world around me. My mind actually forms my reality. It’s our thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and experiences in our daily lives which shape our personal reality. By January 2015 I realized I finally needed to be myself. I transitioned in six months. By July, I was finally Wendy, a lifelong dream. Like most people, I did not embrace change until this need reality hit me. Had I continued to believe transition was difficult and takes a long time, it never would have happened.

That feeling of not belonging had defined my entire life. I wasn’t even sure if I belonged to myself.  Living now in alignment with who I am, with what I want and need feels wonderful. It is the basis for good mental health. Self-Awareness, Self-Acceptance, and Self-Love result in a more aligned life! It is less about “transitioning” from someone I wasn’t and more about correcting a condition I was born with, so I can fully be who I have always been! What I’ve been through is a profound life change. But the effects and how I dealt with it are not much different from any other life changes which everyone faces. Facing most life change is 80% between your ears!

It’s been a journey for sure.  For the first six months of 2015, I did the internal mental work to align my mind with who I really am. I worked on all those negative thoughts I had every day, blocking them. Like most everyone, I had thousands of Automatic Negative Thoughts (ANTs) going through my mind daily. They’re the same daily. Not helpful. I’d rewrite and replace them with supportive thoughts I could believe. I began to overcome all the debilitating thoughts and emotions I had as a result of repressing myself for decades. I actively engaged in a process that helped me change my thoughts, emotions and beliefs. After all, you can’t live outside your beliefs. This work is lifelong. Result, I changed my beliefs to support me moving me forward in life.

Since July 2015 when I began life as Wendy, I’ve embraced change. I have had many wonderful experiences living as myself. When living in alignment you’ll thrive regardless of who you are. I am enjoying sharing my experiences on podcasts. I love helping clients learn to shift beliefs and embrace change!

You are loved,
Wendy Cole
